Penelope has around a month left before she finishes nursing school. She has been working really really hard to become the best nurse possible. She has such a wonderful spirit, the perfect persona to be a nurse. Once she is done with school she will be studying and then taking her NCLEX, the exam which makes one a nurse.
I am so proud of all the hard work she has done. She is really a strong, wonderful woman. She will make a wonderful nurse and mother. Even during her stressful studies and her duties as Student Nursing Association president, she still makes time for me. I'm a very lucky man.
On the weekends, we've been doing our best to get out of the loft and into the wilderness. In the last few months we have backpacked Southern California's tallest peak, San Gorgonio; day hiked Gaviota Peak in the hot Santa Barbara sun; hiked up to the ruins at White City; and hiked Mt. Baldy (which I haven't blogged about yet). We have also been running several times a week around Not A Cornfield.
I have been busy programming at AmericasPrinter.com, we are about to launch our new feature-rich e-commerce website. I have also been doing freelance programming here and there and have been shooting frequently for Wired.com. I recently created a photo portfolio which you can check out here on davebullock.com.
In late January or early February, Penelope and I will be heading out on a road trip to visit some family and spend some time in Death Valley and Tahoe. That will be good fun and we're looking forward to getting away for a bit.
We're going to do our best to update this site more frequently. I have some programming ideas in mind that will pool our blog posts, twitter messages and flickr photos to make the site more useful. Until then, we hope to see you soon in real life!
